What should you do after an accident

If there are people injured in the accident then your first priority is to help them.

Check airways, breathing and circulation. If there is any heavy bleeding use a large piece of cloth folded into a thick pad, elevate the area of the body (if possible), and apply pressure to the wound.

Ensure that emergency services are called - call an ambulance first if one is needed.
