Bicycle riders' rights

This means that bicycle riders have the same rights as other road users and bikes are treated equally as vehicles. Bicycles do have some special rights, for example there are bicycle lanes and bike paths that other vehicles can't use. They are also prohibited from some areas such as motorways.

Bike riders must obey traffic light laws, and must signal and use lanes correctly.
